ABOUT ELEKTRA
MEET THE ARTIST
Elektra DuBoir (she/they) is a multidisciplinary Bristol artist specialising in movement, drama, choreography, and visual arts.
Over the past 4 years, Elektra has been a pivotal force in shaping the Bristol queer community, focusing on creating inclusive spaces and empowering marginalised voices.

As a choreographer and educator, Elektra has dedicated their work to teaching dance and movement to trans, queer, and femme individuals, helping them embrace their sensuality and achieve full embodiment.
Through a series of workshops and classes, they have fostered an environment where participants can explore their identities and express themselves authentically.

Elektra is a key member in the creation and operation of House of Savalon, a queer drag cabaret production company that brings vibrant and radical performances to life. Their work with House of Savalon emphasises community-building and improving access to the arts, ensuring that events and performances are accessible to all, particularly young people eager to create empowered, transformative works.

In addition, Elektra has provided dramaturgical support to projects such as James Crawley’s Switchboard at Bristol Old Vic and Defied at the wardrobe theatre. Their commitment to the arts and the community is evident in their continuous efforts to bring people together and create spaces where creativity and expression can flourish.
